Product Description

β-Glucanase is a food-grade enzyme preparation refined through a series of processes including submerged liquid fermentation of microorganisms, membrane filtration, ultrafiltration concentration, spray drying, and scientific formulation. β-Glucanase is widely used in fields such as beer brewing, animal feed, sucrose processing, papermaking, and the prevention of plant fungal diseases.


Working Principle

As an important enzyme in beer production, β-glucanase is added before the mashing or fermentation process. β-glucanase is typically used in combination with other enzymes in a compound enzyme formulation. β-glucanase can improve the production of fermentable products, reduce the viscosity of wort, increase filtration speed, enhance wort yield, increase the content of α-amino nitrogen, and prevent turbidity.


Product Characteristics

Temperature Range: Effective temperature range is 30–70°C. The optimal operating temperature is 50–60°C. High enzyme activity is maintained for short periods (less than 30 minutes) at 60–70°C.

PH Range: Effective PH range is 3.5–5.5. The optimal PH range is 4.8–5.5.


Usage Instructions

The β-glucanase enzyme powder can be added directly into the mash tun, or it can be dissolved in mashing water at 15–60°C for 10 minutes before being mixed into the mash tun. It can also be compounded with other enzyme preparations to form a beer enzyme complex.

Recommended Dosage: 200–500 g per ton of malt. The optimal dosage should be determined by the customer through experimentation based on their specific brewing process.

 

Precautions

Enzymes are protein-based substances. For sensitive individuals, inhalation of enzyme powder or droplets may case allergic reactions. Prolonged exposure may irritate the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. It is recommended to wear a face mask during operation. If the product accidentally splashes onto the skin or eyes, rinse immediately with clean water.

 

Package and Storage

Package Options: 1kg, 25kg or customized.

As a bioactive substance, the enzyme may deactivate under high temperature, strong acids, or strong alkalis. Therefore, avoid direct sunlight during transportation and storage. And After opening, reseal tightly to prevent enzyme deactivation. Keep in a clean, cool, and dry warehouse.
