Product Detail

Cellulase for Detergents – Enhanced Fabric Care & Stain Removal

Product Description

Cellulase is produced from a high-yield strain of Trichoderma obtained through mutation and refined via liquid deep-tank aeration fermentation. Cellulase is widely used in textiles, fuel ethanol, detergents, and other industries. Cellulase randomly cleaves β-1,4 glycosidic bonds within cellulose molecules, while also cutting from the reducing end to produce cellobiose, which is further broken down into glucose.

Working Principle Function in Washing

Dirts on everyday clothing does not simply adhere to the fiber surface—it can also penetrate the internal fiber structure and become trapped. Adding a small amount of cellulase to a detergent help loosen the cellulose structure of cotton fabrics, allowing fibers to separate. This alters the gel structure formed between particles and water, making it easier for embedded dirt to be released from the gaps between fibers, thereby improving detergency. In addition, the polishing effect of cellulase effectively removes surface fluff from cotton fabrics, leaving the fabric surface smooth and lustrous. Our cellulase exhibits good stability in most detergent formulations.

Product Specification

  • Solid form is light yellow powder/granules (enzyme activity: 60,000 U/g);

  • Liquid form is amber liquid/brown liquid (enzyme activity: 60,000 U/mL).

Usage Instructions

Cellulase exhibits good activity in the washing temperature (about 20~60℃) and PH range (about 6~10) applicable to most detergents.

The recommended dosage of cellulase in washing raw materials is: 0.2~0.5%

Package and Storage

Package Options:

Solid form: 1kg or 25kg or customized.

Liquid form: 25kg plastic drum, IBC tank or customized.

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight. The product has a shelf life of 12 months when stored at temperatures below 25°C. Partial enzymatic activity may still be retained beyond this period if stored in a contamination-free environment. If the product is used past its expiration date, the dosage should be adjusted as appropriate.

Precautions

Enzymes are protein-based substances. For sensitive individuals, inhalation of enzyme powder or droplets may case allergic reactions. Prolonged exposure may irritate the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. It is recommended to wear a face mask during operation. If the product accidentally splashes onto the skin or eyes, rinse immediately with clean water.
