Product Detail

Witrust Amylase: Powerful Starch-Degrading Enzyme for Enhanced Laundry & Textile Applications

Product Description

Amylase is an enzyme produced through submerged fermentation of Bacillus subtilis. It is widely used in industries such as textile desizing and laundry detergent manufacturing. Amylase hydrolyzes the α-1,4 glycosidic linkages in starch molecules, randomly cleaving starch into short-chain dextrins of varying lengths and a small amount of low-molecular-weight sugars. Both amylose and amylopectin are decomposed in an irregular form.

Working Principle

Used in detergent formulations, amylase can further remove starch-based stains. It can effectively break down starch-based dirt such as chocolate, mashed potatoes, noodles and congee etc. into soluble dextrins, oligosaccharides and a small amount of maltose and glucose, thereby eliminating starch-based dirt and other dirt adhered to clothes by starch-based dirt, avoiding the formation of hard-to-remove stains.

In laundry detergents, amylase helps brighten dull fabrics and inhibits the yellowing and aging of white garments caused by the mixture of starch and other stains.

The amylase produced by Witrust exhibits excellent stability in most detergent formulations.

Features and Benefits

· Superior Starch Stain Removal: Breaks down starch-based food stains into soluble sugars, preventing stubborn stain build-up on fabrics.

· Enhanced Fabric Brightness: Boosts the luminosity of dull fabrics and inhibits the yellowing and aging of white textiles.

· Robust Formulation Stability: Delivers reliable stability across standard washing conditions (20–60°C, pH 7–11).

Usage Instructions

Amylase maintains high enzymatic activity at typical washing temperatures (20–60°C) and PH levels (7–11) The recommended dosage of amylase in detergent formulations is 0.2~0.5%.

Precautions

Enzymes are protein-based substances. For sensitive individuals, inhalation of enzyme powder or droplets may case allergic reactions. Prolonged exposure may irritate the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. It is recommended to wear a face mask during operation. If the product accidentally splashes onto the skin or eyes, rinse immediately with clean water.

Package and Storage

Package Options: 1kg/bag or 25kg/bag or customized.

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight. The product has a shelf life of 12 months when stored at temperatures below 25°C. Partial enzymatic activity may still be retained beyond this period if stored in a contamination-free environment. If the product is used past its expiration date, the dosage should be adjusted as appropriate.
